Tree Service
Tree Service in Taylor & Metro Detroit
Removals, trimming, and stump grinding handled cleanly — brush chipped, wood hauled, lawn raked out.
The older neighborhoods downriver are full of silver maples and ash that went in decades ago and are now sitting over roofs, garages, and service lines. Some of them just need weight taken off. Some of them need to come down before the next windstorm decides for you.
Removals
Tree removal gets planned before anything is cut — where the drop zone is, what gets roped down in sections, and how the truck and chipper get in. Tight urban lots are most of what we work in, so most removals come down piece by piece rather than in one felling cut.
Trimming and pruning
Trimming and pruning covers deadwood, crossing limbs, clearance over the roof and driveway, and raising the canopy so grass underneath gets light. We prune to the branch collar and skip topping — it ruins structure and invites decay.
Stumps and brush
After the tree is gone, our stump grinding and brush removal takes the stump several inches below grade so the spot can be topsoiled and seeded. Pair it with overseeding and the scar disappears in a season.

Storm Damage
After a summer storm we prioritize anything hanging over a house, driveway, or walkway. Call and tell us what's leaning — we'll tell you honestly whether it's an emergency or something that can wait a week.
Common Questions
- Are you insured for tree work?
- Yes. Sunnyside Lawn and Snow LLC is licensed and insured, and we'll send proof before the saws come out. Tree work near a house, fence, or power drop is not a job to hire uninsured.
- Do you haul away the wood and brush?
- Standard on every removal. Brush is chipped, trunk wood is cut down and hauled, and the drop zone gets raked out. If you want the rounds left for firewood, say so and we'll stack them.
- When is the best time to trim trees in Michigan?
- Late winter through early spring, while the tree is dormant and the structure is easy to read, is ideal for most hardwoods. Dead, hanging, or hazardous limbs get removed whenever we find them — those don't wait for a season.
