Spring and Fall Cleanup in Metro Detroit
Two visits a year that decide how the property looks the other fifty weeks.
Cleanups are the least glamorous work we do and the most obvious when they are skipped. A yard that goes into winter buried under wet leaves comes out in April with dead patches, matted turf, and snow mold. A yard cleaned properly in November greens up weeks earlier.
Fall cleanup
- Leaves cleared from turf, beds, fence lines, and window wells
- Gutter-line and walkway debris blown out
- Perennials cut back and ornamental grasses bundled
- Final low cut to reduce matting under snow
- Debris hauled off or piled curbside, your call
Spring cleanup
Spring is about undoing winter: salt-damaged edges, blown-in trash, broken limbs, and whatever leaves hid under the snow. We clear it out, re-cut the bed edges, and get the property ready for the first mow and the first round of fertilizer so the season starts clean.

Learn moreCommon Questions
- Do you haul the leaves away or just blow them to the curb?
- Either. Curbside piling is cheaper in cities that vacuum leaves. Where the city does not pick up, or when you just want it gone, we tarp and haul everything off the property.
- When is the right time for fall cleanup?
- Most Metro Detroit properties need two passes: a mid-season visit once the maples drop and a final cleanup in mid to late November after the oaks finish. Leaves left matted over winter smother the turf and set up snow mold.
- What is included in a spring cleanup?
- Clearing winter debris and leftover leaves out of beds and along fence lines, dethatching matted areas, cutting back perennials and ornamental grasses, re-edging beds, and a first cut to reset the property.
